Speaking of downtime, a few years ago we surveyed offices for their patients\u2019 most outrageous cancellation and failure excuses.<\/p>\n
10.) \u201cTooth hurts really bad but have to go hunting.\u201d<\/p>\n
9.) \u201cThe cat turned the alarm off.\u201d<\/p>\n
8.) \u201cMy mother passed away.\u201d (3rd time in 10 years).<\/p>\n
7.) \u201cToo many bears. I\u2019m not leaving the house.\u201d (Duluth patient)<\/p>\n
6.) \u201cMy teeth look fine. I\u2019ll call you when they aren\u2019t white any longer.\u201d<\/p>\n
5.) \u201cEclipse might hurt my baby. I won\u2019t go outside.\u201d<\/p>\n
4.) \u201cDid I make that appointment\u2026really?\u201d<\/p>\n
3.) \u201cI found a dead squirrel on the road on the way to my appointment and needed to bring it to the police department so they could properly bury it.\u201d<\/p>\n
2.) \u201cMy dog ate the reminder card that was on my refrigerator.\u201d<\/p>\n
1.) \u201cI thought my appointment was yesterday.\u201d
